Moving Down Under

Moving down under is an enormous step. We'll do everything in our power to make sure you feel at home in your new surroundings as quickly as possible. For instance, we'll get you up to speed with the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries' (MPI) stringent rules and regulations, and find you a professional partner to deliver your belongings to your new home.

Residential status

We will work with you to determine which documentation is required to move to and reside in the destination country in accordance with applicable regulations. We need a copy of your passport from you for any international move outside the EU.

We take care of the documentation that is necessary to guide your household contents. This includes inventory lists drawn up in the correct language at the time of packing your household effects by De Haan and the freight documentation. 

You will be asked to complete the insurance form with the replacement value in the destination country as a guideline.

Home Sweet Home! Moving Back to The Netherlands

We are also happy to assist you when you return to the Netherlands. Even if you are a returning Dutch citizen, you will also have to fill in the required import documentation (Exemption Application). If you meet all the required requirements, you will be able to return your household effects tax-free. De Haan will take care of this on your behalf. Your assigned relocation coordinator from De Haan will guide you through this entire process. In the Netherlands, a removal team will be on hand to take care of the delivery and unpacking of your household effects. This is done at your direction and wishes.
