I had to change a moving company last minute, and De Haan agreed to relocate me on a very short notice (more or less 2 weeks before my moving date). So, I already give them 10 for flexibility. Further, all of the employees that I was in contact with were very friendly, quick to reply on my emails, and very helpful in explaining what needs to be done. The movers themselves were very efficient with logistics (parking spot for the moving truck was arranged without me having to worry about anything), and with loading my stuff (in a blink of an eye all of my belongings were packed and gone). Aside from being very professional, De Haan also offer a very fair price for their services. Overall I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this company.

Of course De Haan always tries to avoid extra costs within the applicable laws and regulations. In case you do not meet the requirements for duty and tax free import of your goods and all legal options have been investigated, there is no other option than payment of import duties and taxes.

Recently we relocated our family with four small children from San Diego, California to Switzerland, via the Netherlands. At the time of departure we did not know where we would relocate to, so we planned a 6-month stay is the Swiss Alps, while De Haan kept our belongings safe in their premises in Rotterdam, and airlifted the family essentials to our temporary Alpine home. After almost 1.5 years, we finally settled down, and 20-months after our departure from the US, De Haan delivered all our belongings to us in perfect condition. As you might expect, our departure was done in haste, and our future was unsure. De Haan's team of experts advisors, partners and movers, took one big worry out of our hands and ensured a smooth, and very personable transition. I strongly recommend De Haan to anyone considering a (complicated) move or relocation.

The delivery address had no open parking available and the crew reviewed the options when arriving and found a safe and practical solution. Our experience with De Haan relation has been excellent. We had a complex moving schedule and tonnes of books to move, but all went very well, professional and in time. The communication with the back-office at De haan was very good - clear, to the point and the (many) questions we had were all answered quickly. The week of the moving itself was intense and as such it felt very good to be able to leave a lot into the experienced hands of the movers. They came with a big team, thought ahead, were careful with the delicate things, and precise and accurate - working according to a clear system to items would not 'get lost in the moving forest'. The movers were attentive (e.g. gave a quick call to inform us they had passed the border into Switzerland, our destination country) and also good for a laugh at times. We consider De Haan the 'gold standard' of relocation companies in the Netherlands and highly recommend them.

My husband and I want to compliment you highly on two members of your removal staff.
Today, after continually keeping us up-to-date as to when they would actually be arriving at our home, they reached us on time and with great regard as to where they should park their large vehicle so as not to obstruct our neighbours from entering and leaving the underground garage whilst in the process of their carrying our chattels to their truck.
From the moment we met both of them, it was a courteous and friendly encounter – and their very professional assessment of what was to be packed and how best they go should go about it impressed us from the outset.
Indeed, during our lifetime, my husband and I have changed countries nine times – moving house between the UK, Switzerland, Canada and Australia BUT NEVER have we had such a trouble-free and pleasant experience. Not only that, never have our chattels been packed with such care, speed, proficiency and attention to detail. We are absolutely impressed with these two gentlemen and will not hesitate to recommend them, respectively your company, to any of our friends and business acquaintances who contemplate relocating internationally.
Again, we thanks them million times for making our move back to Australia so much easier.
It goes without saying, that If you have a subsidiary/agent in Sydney (where we will need to store our chattels until we take possession of our new home) – we would like to take advantage of such a facility. Based on today’s experience, we feel very confident that you will also be able to recommend equally professional removalists who can, as well as moving us to our new home, also “put together again” the furniture which has today been so expertly packed, but which, of necessity (in order to take maximum advantage of the cubic metres allocated us and minimise the possibility of damage), needed to be taken apart by removing, furniture legs, cupboard doors, shelving etc..

Het enige wat ik aan te merken heb, is dat er wat communicatieproblemen waren omtrent zowel het ophalen van de goederen als het aflossen. Bij het ophalen zouden de verhuizers "na twaalven" komen en van tevoren bellen, maar stonden 10.30 onaangekondigd voor de deur. Het aflossen zou op vrijdag 15 maart gebeuren, zoals in al mijn correspondentie was gecommuniceerd, maar na opgebeld te hebben op de dag zelf bleek dat ze hadden gereken op de volgende ochtend. Gelukkig ben ik flexibel en heeft dit niet voor grote ongemakken gezorgd. Wellicht is dit een verbeterpunt voor nieuwe klanten, om er echt op te letten dat de communicatie naar de klant toe juist is. Over de rest ben ik erg tevreden.

Prima verhuizing, alleen 3 keer wisselen van contactpersoon was een beetje teveel. Was een beetje teleurgesteld over het niet aanpassen van de totaalprijs nadat er uiteindelijk maar de helft m3 werd verhuisd en me het volle bedrag in rekening werd gebracht. Na een korte, onnodige discussie was het opgelost.

My experience was excellent. The two men who came to Switzerland to take my boxes were really expert. And very nice and friendly. Then the ones who delivered my things in Amsterdam were amazing, friendly, skilled and speedy. I would definitely use De Haan again, and in fact I may soon move the rest of my things to Amsterdam and relocate there full-time, and when I am ready I will call De Haan again and hopefully get the same movers, because they were fantastic.

Goed en vooral prof verhuisbedrijf die veel kennis en ervaring hebben met buitenlandverhuizingen. Kantoorpersoneel is kundig en neemt je veel werkzaamheden uit handen, goed bereikbaar en komt afspraken na. Verhuispersoneel is ervaren, nette / betrouwbare mensen en behulpzaam.
