Although the people were all very friendly, several precious items were damaged. It was a lengthy process to get the very limited compensation. The size of this insurance payment is a "joke" and the sales of the insurance was very very very misleading - it was NEVER explicitly told that the cover was only day value for all items older than 3 years, whereas I paid EUR1500 for the additional insurance. Yes it was in the small print, obviously, but De Haan should know that people who are in the middle of an international move don't have time to read these. I feel misled and ripped off. The movers Arjan and Elimer were absolutely fab, and the team dealing with the damage was very professional, both Henny Hendriks and Linda Rovekamp were very kind and understanding and helped to come to a conclusion.

I had a choice of several internationale removal companies, eventually chose De Haan because of their years of experience and good reviews. I found the contact very pleasant and relaxing, because if you have to arrange everything around the move from abroad yourself only, it is very nice if you don't have to worry. De Haan also always responded very quickly to my mail and immediately called for personal contact, which was very pleasant for me. The only thing you have to take into account is that it is mixed transport, so you know that it can take a while for your things arrive, but I knew that in advance and it was therefore not a real problem. If I needed an international moving company I would certainly move with De Haan again in the future.

For my mother's move, everything had to run smoothly and precisely. She is aged and worried. It was also about an emigration, so an important event. The commercial man was quick, clear and attentive. The price was right. The administrative and practical support during the preparation and the relocation was efficient and friendly, a great help for us and very reassuring. The movers, both in Rotterdam and in the Ardèche, were professional and friendly. They worked hard but not in a hurry. We are very satisfied with our experience with De Haan. 

We had an excellent move to Ireland. We used our own packing cartons and boxes which were damaged but content still good thanks to the movers who skilfully (re)packed in the Netherlands where needed.

Top and very satisfied. The entire process of transport from door Amsterdam to door in Jerusalem went very well. Also a clear quotation and very professional explanation about the course of events by telephone and by e-mail. We were kept very well informed by you about transport from the start at the airport, arrival in TA, customs clearance, import duties etc. etc.

The calculation of the weight and volume detemining the final cost was not clear. And the duration of a sea freight was miscalculated.  Both costed me a lot more than expected. Lots of paperwork also. But I presume it was compulsory steps. Apart from  that, everything was ok.

Moving was done very smoothly, especially the help during pick up in NL was very well arranged. Friendly people, willing to help in repacking some of the items to optimize the space utilized. Delivery in Vietnam was done well, within a couple of hours everything was unpacked. 

Been assisted very friendly by everyone. Nice movers both at pick-up and drop-off. Wasn't satisfied however about the uncertainty around the delivery date. If you ask for a particular week and ask for monday you do not expect it to become saturday as in my case wasting one week of my time. Everyone at de Haan is really nice, would book a next time with a fixed delivery date though.

My move from the Netherlands to the US went well and I would recommend De Haan to anyone who wants to experience a seamless smooth global move!

This last one however was the least enjoyable, due to the moving services at origin arriving the day before the expected collection time. Other than that the service has been professional and expert. De Haan relocation has proven to me that it is a great mover. Your driver Mischa has worked great together with hired colleagues. Our stuff was brought in and assembled in no time.

We were very happy with de Haan throughout the entire moving process. Their volume estimate was spot-on, their price was right in the middle of the estimates we got, their packers were thoroughly professional, diligent and polite. They were very clear about customs/quarantine reglations and made sure were were on top off all the required paperwork. The contracted company at the other end were just as diligent and professional. All our stuff arrived intact.\n\nMoving is such a fraught process, even under the best circumstances, I was relieved we had them to help us. Two thumbs up!
